A 1 percent listing agent in Florida charges 1% of the sale price to list and sell your home. On a $500,000 sale, that’s $5,000 instead of $15,000. The real question is: what do you actually get for that 1%?

What a 1 percent listing agent in Florida includes

How the buyer’s agent commission works

No. The MLS listing — not the listing fee — is what exposes your home to buyers. Every agent using Beaches MLS sees your listing regardless of what you pay your agent. Photography, pricing strategy, and negotiation skill determine your sale price. The listing fee doesn’t.

Who is the 1% model right for?

It works best for sellers in active markets where homes move quickly: Palm Beach County, Broward County, Miami-Dade. It works in slower markets too — you just need an agent who actively markets the home. The 1% model isn’t a discount service. It’s a better-priced full service.
